The Wraith (1986)

A fantasy action film directed by Mike Marvin, starring Charlie Sheen.
A young man who was killed in a road racing accident comes back to take revenge on the gang that killed him.
The soundtrack was full of '80s goodness including Ozzy Osbourne and Motley Crue. The style of the whole film was very '80s as well, which I appreciated. The plot and characters were alright. I really liked watching the cars be destroyed in those explosives-aided crashes. I'm rating it good for entertainment value.

Lucas (1986)

a drama directed by David Seltzer, starring Corey Haim, Charlie Sheen and Winona Ryder.
A dorky kid is attracted to a new girl in town and they become friends. When school starts, the dork is picked on and the girl becomes the romantic interest of the captain of the football team who protects the dork from the other football players. The dork quits band and tries to play football with the expected results.
This was really sappy and quasi-romantic. The part that I found funny was the ending. The Professor Brothers describe it best in their video, Fliff Night: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sp3wTXYoCCg . One brother is describing to the other how he felt when he was buying drinks for people at a party and it's EXACTLY what happens at the end of this film. Anyway, I'm rating this o.k. because it was totally predictable and mediocre.

The Arrival (1996)

A science fiction directed by David Twohy, starring Charlie Sheen.
A scientist who is looking for radio signals from space discovers a large conspiracy of aliens on earth who want to stop him.
As I was watching this, I kept thinking "Who is that guy?". I knew that I had seen the main character before. He wasn't Christian Slater (too old)... It was Charlie Sheen! Besides that, the film was mediocre. It could have been a sci-fi channel presentation for all I know. I'm rating it o.k.

Young Guns (1988)

A western directed by Christopher Cain, starring Emilio Estevez and Charlie Sheen.
A group of rough young cowboys are deputized and take the law into their own hands.
The characters and plot were alright and I thought the peyote scene was interesting. It's not exactly a Sergio Leone spaghetti western though. I'm rating it o.k. because that's exactly what it deserves.

Wall Street (1987)

A drama directed by Oliver Stone, starring Charlie Sheen.
A young stock broker idolizes a richer man in his line of work. When he works for this man, he gets very rich, very fast. Eventually, the senior broker turns out to be corrupt and working with him turns out to be a bad idea.
As cool as Charlie Sheen may be and as good as this year was for making good films, this did not live up to it's potential. The plot and characters were stale and the setting is overused. I was constantly interrupted while watching this film, so that may have something to do with my rating. I'm rating it poor because it didn't seem good, but I couldn't give it my full attention.
