An American Animated comedy adventure directed by Chris Wedge, starring Ewan McGregor, Halle Berry, Greg Kinnear, Mel Brooks and Robin Williams.
A robot from a small town goes to the big city, hoping to get a job working for a company he has seen on TV. He gets there to find that the company has been taken over by the villain.
I'm pretty sure this is some vapid entertainment. It is entertaining and animated well. Robin Williams was always a great addition to comedy. I think Roger Ebert correctly stated ""Robots delights on a visual level, but the story feels like it came off an assembly line." Tom Waits did the villain's mother's "Underground" song. IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes have scores around 50-60%. I guess I liked it at some point because it's been sitting on my computer for years. I rate it adequate and really wish there was some hidden meaning or symbolism to type about.
In ancient Egyptian mythology, a dead person's soul would be weighed against the feather of truth in a ritual called a psychostasy. If their soul was lighter than the feather, it would ascend into the afterlife. Heavy souls were devoured by Maat, eater of the dead. Good films go to hard drive heaven while the recycle bin eats the rest.

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods (2013)
A Japanese anime directed by Masahiro Hosoda.
A powerful god of destruction awakens and hears of super saiyans. He goes in search of a super saiyan god and finds Goku and friends.
Though generally fitting with the series and very similar, this was somewhat of a departure. The use of CG was the most noticable change and the decision to use so much humor as well as such a light plot is different. I'm used to seeing all traditionally drawn animation with a slightly more serious and involved story. Dragon Ball fans will be happy to see so many of their favorite characters featured as well as some new faces. Beerus seems well-designed, but lacks a visual transformation and Whis is reminiscent of the Kais. Some strange sub-plots emerged that would potentially make Dragon Ball GT incorrect, if followed through as part of the main story. There was a budding romance and a 1/4 saiyan pregnancy announced. Overall, I thought it was similar enough to the DBZ franchise for fans to enjoy, but also enough of a departure to upset some long-term viewers. I rate it adequate. It might be fun to watch if you don't take it too seriously.

Kaena, The Prophecy (2003)

A CG animation directed by Chris Delaporte and Pascal Pinon, starring Kirsten Dunst.
A village of people gather sap for their gods. An adventurous young woman doesn't believe all that the priest tells her and runs away from the sick society. She is found by a man who (with his army of worms in mech suits) has built a spaceship to leave that world behind. The girl tells him of a blue sun, which is really an artifact from the man's civilization. They head out to save the artifact and the girl's people.
Some of the plot was relevant to the real world, but otherwise it was pretty "run of the mill". The animation looked almost like Pixar and the characters seemed Disney-like in some ways. Disney characters' minds are all very closed, if you've ever noticed. They are very 2 dimensional. I'm rating this o.k. because I enjoyed watching it, but it resembles Freemasonic brainwashing material. Oh, and don't think that because it's "brainWASHING" that your brain gets cleaned. It doesn't.
