Crumb (1994)

A documentary directed and produced by Terry Zwigoff.
Artist Robert Crumb takes part in interviews involving his 2 brothers and some ex-wives.
This was an amazing film. Besides liking the artwork and how the film was made, I found out that Robert Crumb's personality is in some ways similar to mine. He's just a dorky dude who wants to be working on his creative projects all the time like me. When Crumb visits his brothers, one is a shut-in who lives with their mother and is on prescription drugs. The other brother is an artist as well and has some strange "health procedures". While sitting in the interviews with this insanity, Robert responds to everything with a good natured laugh and keeps the interview moving along. Instead of finding verbose ways to praise the film, I will just recommend it and rate it awesome. I watched it on Crackle.

Bad Santa (2003)

A comedy by Terry Zwigoff, starring Billy Bob Thornton.
An alcoholic and a midget play Santa and his elf at a mall during the Christmas season, before robbing the safe on Christmas eve.
I normally don't like comedies, but this was great. The Santa character was very well done and this film has led to many a late night of liquor for me. I don't know why watching a dysfunctionally drunken Santa makes me want booze, but it just does. I'm rating this good for drinking inspiration.

Art School Confidential (2006)

A drama directed by Terry Zwigoff, starring Steve Buscemi.
A young man goes to college for art and gets discouraged by the way things work there. Poor art is praised as his perfection goes unnoticed. A friend introduces him to an older artist who likes liquor and paints murder scenes.
The characters and plot were phenominal! The pacing and style were spot-on and I couldn't imagine changing anything about the film. I would recommend this for anyone who likes good movies. I'm rating it best for being just so damn good.

ghost world (2001)

a drama directed by terry zwigoff
2 high school friends decide to give a prank reply to a personals ad. they spy on the victim until one of them develops a relationship with him. she tries to find him a date even though she is the one who wants to date him. the 2 friends are split apart by this.
the audio and video were good.
the selection of actors was very fitting. I have a mixed reaction to seeing steve buscemi. part of me says he's a pest and I want to put him out of his misery. the other part has sympathy for him. it's like how the hobbits feel about smeagol. I don't know what it is about this movie that makes me turn away, but I find it offensive for some indescribable reason.
