Dolls (1987)

A horror directed by Stuart Gordon and produced by Charles Band.
A doll maker's house is visited by a few people who are stranded there in a rainstorm. The dolls come to life and kill some of the guests.
This was a little light on plot and the characters were like cardboard cutouts. What it lacks in these areas was made up with style. It totally looked Full Moon and the doll animation was reminiscent of the Puppet Master series. I'm rating this good because of who made it.

Dagon (2001)

A science fiction horror directed by Stuart Gordon.
A group of tourists crash their boat on some rocks near a town in Spain. When they go for help, they discover that the inhabitants of the town are mutant human/fish monsters.
I really regret watching this. Every film element was cheesy except for the special effects. People had tentacle limbs that looked real and there was convincing looking dismemberment. Otherwise it sucked. I'm rating it bad.

Castle Freak (1995)

A horror directed by Stuart Gordon, distributed by Full Moon Pictures.
A family is in a car accident in which the son is killed and the daughter is blinded. Soon after, the father inherits a castle and brings his family with him to see it. Unfortunately for them, the previous owner kept her son in the basement and he is still there.
It's a little bit difficult to write a review for this type of film. It was a B horror flick and everything was cheesy. Being Full Moon, I expected nice, clean camera-work. This was not the case. Most of the scenes were very dark and the camera angles were strange. Most Full Moon monsters are very clearly visible as well, but this was an exception to that rule. I'm rating it poor because it didn't meet my minimal expectations.

Re-Animator series (1985, 1990 & 2003)

A science fiction horror directed by Stuart Gordon and Brian Yuzna.
A pair of scientists discover a chemical formula for restoring life to dead things.
The sequels are Bride of Re-Animator and Beyond Re-Animator. I watched the first 2 films, but wouldn't watch the 3rd because the first 2 were just so gross. They were very dark and by the end of the 2nd, there were all types of re-animated mutants: really disgusting. When I watch horror films, I want to see aristocratic vampires delicately sucking the life from innocent young girls. I want to see poorly made and comical hand puppet monsters, not way too graphically created gross-out factories. There was one thing that I liked and that's what the picture is. The guy with glasses puts some fingers and an eye together and hits it with zombie juice. I thought it was almost cute. I'm rating this bad because I didn't like it.
