Lean on Me (1989)

A drama directed by John G. Avildsen, starring Morgan Freeman.
An inner city school gets a new principle to help correct their educational problems.
The "this school is bad" scene set to "Welcome to the Jungle" was really effective. I usually like Morgan Freeman, but in this role, he reminded me of Barack Obama. It was the way that he spoke and the postures that he stood in while speaking to groups. The film kept my attention, but wasn't anything special. I'm rating it o.k. because it seemed mass-produced.
