Kate Plays Christine (2016)

An American documentary directed by Robert Greene, starring Kate Lyn Sheil.
An actor studies for and performs a reenactment of a news anchor who killed herself on live television.
This was bleak. The plot took a long time to develop before it became meaningful. The subject matter was a difficult one to cover because of the lack of footage featuring the original woman. I thought that the choice of stars was somehow good and bad at the same time. The star of this film was prettier than the woman she was portraying and that covers the good and bad. Watch it to find out why. As the film goes along, the star learns more about her role and eventually begins to dislike it. Overall, bleak and slow, but somehow worth it in the end. I won't spoil that part though. I rate this adequate.
