In ancient Egyptian mythology, a dead person's soul would be weighed against the feather of truth in a ritual called a psychostasy. If their soul was lighter than the feather, it would ascend into the afterlife. Heavy souls were devoured by Maat, eater of the dead. Good films go to hard drive heaven while the recycle bin eats the rest.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice (2010)
A fantasy directed by Jon Turteltaub, starring Nicolas Cage.
A boy wanders into a shop while chasing a note and learns that he is magical. He releases an evil magician by accident, and when he grows up, he has to fight it with the help of the shop owner who is his teacher.
Nicolas Cage isn't my favorite actor by a long shot, and this film is new and full of Hollywood Bullshit. Nick's annoying apprentice acts like a retard through the whole film and the special effects were used liberally. Oddly, the special effects were the good part, like in 2012. The eagle from the building and the dragons were pretty cool, saving this film from a bad rating. I'll be nice and call it o.k.
